Rory Lea


Senior Partner since 1996. Gained an Honours Degree in Law at Cambridge. A partner since 1975, he specialises in agricultural and business law. Honorary Solicitor to Chester Business Club and Malpas Farmers’ Club. A past President of Chester & North Wales Law Society, Past President and current secretary of the Association of North Western Law Societies and a member of the Agricultural Law Association. He lectures to solicitors on Agricultural Law and to a variety of lay groups on a range of legal topics. He writes on legal topics for Choice magazine.

Married with two sons, he lives in Handley. His interests include music, fell walking and fishing. He is a director of Chester Summer Music Festival Ltd. and sings in two choirs.

Tim Parker


Served articles with the firm after leaving Wrekin College, Shropshire, in 1968 . He became a partner in 1977. He specialises in property and heads the firm’s conveyancing department. He was Chairman of Chester & North Wales Young Lawyers’ Group and past Chairman of the Cheshire Board of the Prince’s Youth Business Trust. He has been a board member of Nationwide Independent Solicitors’ Group.

Interests include sailing, skiing and travelling.

Diana Williams


Born in Dundee and educated in Birkenhead High School for Girls. Graduated in Law from University College, London. Joined the firm in 1977 from Weightmans in Liverpool and became a partner in 1980. Senior litigation partner. Specialising in matrimonial and employment law. She is an advanced member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and an accredited member of the Solicitors’ Family Law Association, former committee member, Chester & North Wales Law Society.

She lives in Chester. Her interests include music, bridge and squash.

Denise Woodward


Trained as a Legal Executive with a Chester firm. Joined Mason & Moore Dutton in 1981, practising exclusively in family law. Admitted as a solicitor in 1997 having completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester, she now practices in all aspects of family law and is a trained family mediator and collaborative lawyer. She is a past committee member of Chester & North Wales Law Society, an accredited member of Resolution and an advanced member of the Law Society’s Specialist Family Law Panel, a secretary and past Treasurer of the Chester committee of the North West Cancer Research Fund and Chairman of NIS.

Living in Chester, she is married to a lawyer and they have a young son. Leisure interests include music, travel and reading.

Helen Davenport


After reading law at Sheffield University, she trained with a firm in Hertfordshire, being admitted in 1981. Joined Mason & Moore Dutton in 1982. Specialises in wills, probate and tax planning, with some conveyancing.

Married, she lives in Chester with her husband and two children. Her interests include art, history, theatre, reading and music.

Sara McInnes


Sara was born in Birkenhead and educated at Abbey Gate College, Saighton.  She trained with Walker Smith Way and was admitted as a solicitor in 2001.  She was president of the Trainee Solicitors Group for Chester and North Wales.  She is married and lives in Higher Kinnerton. 

She enjoys socialising with friends and eating out.  She also likes to travel.

Jackie Rawcliffe


Jackie Rawcliffe was born and educated in Chester. She studied at the University of Liverpool where she graduated in law. She did her training contract with Cobbetts of Manchester before joining a local firm of solicitors where she was a partner. She joined Mason & Moore Dutton in 2003.

Jackie lives near Chester with her husband and two young children. Jackie's interests include travelling, yoga and Thai food.
